Cape Girardeau, Mo. (KFMO) - Offensive might was on full display last Saturday, but Southeastern Missouri couldn't match the pace set by Southern Illnois, with the Salukis picking up a 59-31 win on the road.
Redhawks quarterback Jax Leatherwood put up stellar numbers, going 33-47 for 442 yards and 2 touchdowns, but Salukis quarterback DJ Williams passed for 4 touchdowns himself. Williams also rushed for 2 more on the ground, giving him 6 total for the game.
The Redhawks are 1-3 for the season. Next week, SEMO will be on the road facing an 0-4 UT Martin side. The Skyhawks are yet to finish a game within 20 points of their opponent, but have played three FBS schools-- Oklahoma State, UTEP, and Missouri State.
