Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest on Highway 67 in Farmington

Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - Around midnight on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, a St. Francois County K-9 unit conducted a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 67 near Highway 32 in Farmington.

During the stop, the deputy noticed suspicious behavior from both the driver and passenger, prompting the deployment of the K-9. The K-9 alerted to the presence of narcotics, leading to a vehicle search that uncovered two bags containing powdery substances. Field tests later confirmed the substances as cocaine and ketamine. The driver, identified as Jacob Cummings of Florissant, was arrested and remains in custody on two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance.

The passenger was detained for 12 hours due to intoxication and was later released without charges.
