Washington County Traffic Stop Leads to Felony Firearm Arrest

Washington Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop in the Richwoods area on Saturday, August 23, 2025, that resulted in the arrest of a Cadet man.

Deputies say the driver, identified as James Missey, was found to have a revoked operator status and is a convicted felon in Missouri.

A rifle and ammunition were also located inside the vehicle. Missey was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, along with driving while revoked or suspended for the second or third offense. His bond has been set at $100,000 cash only.
