St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - Two men were injured in a crash Tuesday morning, August 26, on Missouri 8 at Hunt Street in St. Francois County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 6:40 a.m. when a westbound 2005 Dodge Dakota, driven by 33-year-old man from Mineral Point, failed to stop and struck the rear of a 1994 Ford F-150 that was stopped in traffic preparing to turn left.
The driver of the Dodge Dakota, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Washington County Memorial Hospital.
The 19-year-old driver of the Ford F-150, from Farmington, sustained minor injuries. He was transported to Parkland Health Center.
Troopers reported the Dakota was totaled and towed from the scene, while the F-150 had moderate damage but was driven away.
