Transportation Alternatives Program Helps Improve Bonne Terre

Bonne Terre, Mo. (KFMO) - Work is underway on improvements to downtown Bonne Terre through the Missouri Department of Transportation's Transportation Alternatives Program.

City Administrator of Bonne Terre, Shawn Kay, says the work is being done through a grant with the Department and should help improve safety and attract business to the downtown area.

Kay adds construction has been going on for the last couple of weeks and there is a detour for those taking Highway 47 through the downtown area.
