Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - Additional information involving the arrest of a Farmington man last week, dealing with child sex crimes, has been released.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control (DDCC) has released additional details in the arrest of 21-year-old Lane J. Wigger, following an investigation by the DDCC Special Victims Unit (SVU).
In June 2025, while conducting an online child pornography investigation, SVU investigators obtained a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children indicating an online user had uploaded numerous sexually explicit images identified as child pornography. Through further investigation, Wigger was identified as the suspect. On June 18, 2025, investigators executed a search warrant at a residence in St. Francois County. Investigators contacted and interviewed Wigger and seized several items of evidence. As a result, Wigger was arrested and transported to the St. Francois County Jail.
The St. Francois County Prosecuting Attorney formally charged Wigger with five counts of felony Possession of Child Pornography and one count of felony Promoting Child Pornography.
He is being held at the St. Francois County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
