Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - The St. Francois County Health Center is encouraging men to take charge of their health with a special Men’s Health Day event on Friday, June 13, from 8 a.m. to noon at the health center in Park Hills.
No appointment is necessary, and the event offers a wide range of free health screenings. These include:
- Hemoglobin A1c – to check for signs of diabetes
- Lipid Panel, which measures:
- Total cholesterol
- LDL (bad cholesterol)
- Triglycerides
- Blood pressure
- Height and weight/BMI
Same-day test results for most screenings
An optional PSA test, which screens for prostate health issues, is also available for just $12, with results typically returned within a week.
A registered dietitian will be on hand and available to discuss test results and provide personalized guidance upon request.
Health officials say Men’s Health Day is part of an ongoing effort to raise awareness about the importance of preventive care and early detection. The Health Center encourages all men in the community, especially those who may not have seen a doctor recently, to take advantage of this free and convenient opportunity.
