St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - The St. Francois County Commission has eliminated 14 positions in various county offices.
The jobs to be eliminated, according to the county commission, have never been filled or have not been filled in some time.
Presiding commission Harold Gallaher says those positions could be reevaluated or reopened in the future, if the need arises.
By eliminating the positions, the commission will free up $571,000 in the budget which could be moved to other purposes.
