Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - Solar energy is coming to Mineral Area College in a big way, as crews continue installing thousands of solar panels at the main campus in Park Hills.
MAC President Dr. Joe Gilgour says the college has already installed around 6,000 panels as part of a campus-wide renewable energy project.
Dr. Gilgour adds that another 1,200 panels are expected to be installed later this week. The solar installation is part of the college’s ongoing efforts to reduce its carbon footprint and lower long-term energy costs.
