Small Chemical Fire Quickly Extinguished at PolySol in Desloge, No Injuries Reported

Desloge, Mo. (KFMO) - Fire crews were called to the PolySol building in Desloge after reports of a chemical fire Thursday morning.

At 9:01 a.m., the Desloge Fire Department was called to PolySol after a plastic molding furnace caught fire. Desloge fire chief Jared Meador says the fire was contained to the machine, and was extinguished quickly.

Fire crews from Bonne Terre, Leadwood, Park Hills, and Farmington assisted Desloge in putting out the fire.

Meador says that any fumes from the fire were non-toxic and that there are no lingering hazards stemming from the fire. No injuries were reported.
