Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - A Herculaneum woman was moderately injured in a crash involving a scooter and a school bus Monday afternoon in St. Francois County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 3:30 p.m. on Hunt Road near Bent Creek when a 2006 Yamaha Vino 125 scooter, driven by the 56-year-old woman, crossed the center line and collided with a 2022 Bluebird school bus.
The scooter rider, who was wearing a helmet, sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Parkland Health Center in Farmington by St. Francois County Ambulance. The driver of the school bus, a 58-year-old woman from Farmington, was not injured. Both vehicles sustained minor damage.
The scooter was removed by a family member, while the bus was driven from the scene.
