Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - The Parkland is finally seeing some relief from dry conditions, as multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected over the next few days.
Forecasters say the best chance for significant rainfall will come between Tuesday morning and Wednesday morning, with some lingering showers possible into Thursday. Rainfall totals of one to three inches are expected across much of the region. The latest wet weather follows Sunday night into Monday morning’s rainfall, which was the first substantial precipitation the Parkland had seen since September 4. The stretch of dry weather had raised concerns about soil moisture and late-season drought conditions.
Officials encourage residents to stay weather aware, as some storms may be locally heavy, leading to brief flooding in low-lying areas.
