Practice Water Safety During Heat Advisory

St. Francois County, Mo. (KFMO) - Our Parkland heat advisory continues until 7 o'clock tonight yet temperatures will continue to be in the mid to upper 90s into next week.

The Environmental Public Health Specialist & Public Health Emergency Preparedness Coordinator, with the St. Francois County Health Center, Donovan Kleinberg, says there are safety measures we should observe when you go the lake, river, or even a pool, to beat the heat.

According to reports we should see relief from the heat next Wednesday as thunderstorms move through the area, dropping temepratures into the upper 80s, and might continue to drop by several more degrees.
