Potosi, Mo. (KFMO) - Potosi R-3 School District Superintendent Alex McCaul gave thanks to Potosi Elementary school staff, families, and community members for their response to Tuesday's severe weather event.
According to a press release made shortly after Tuesday's storms, McCaul commended his staff for their "swift and decisive" action in getting students relocated to the school's FEMA shelter. McCaul also expresed thanks to the Potosi Police Department, Missouri State Highway Patrol, Washington County Sheriff's Department, the Potosi Fire Protection District, and the City of Potosi for ensuring the students' safety.
The school building was confirmed to have only minor storm damage, including a few broken windows from debris.
