Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - The high school football season is set to kick off Friday evening with one of the Parkland’s biggest rivalries, North County versus Farmington, and this year’s matchup comes with a tailgate party for a good cause.
Reggie Aubuchon, with Bryant Restoration explains the importance this event will have on the students in both districts.
From 5 to 7 p.m., fans from both teams are invited to gather near the Farmington football practice field, next to the big parking lot by the Krause Family Wrestling Complex, for food, fun, and fundraising.
Bryant Restoration, Unico Bank, Midwest Cajun Company, First State Community Bank, and Save-A-Lot are sponsoring the tailgate, which will feature jambalaya from Midwest Cajun Company along with BBQ favorites. With any size donation, fans will receive a meal that includes jambalaya or BBQ, chips, dessert, and a drink. All proceeds benefit the backpack programs for both Farmington and North County schools.
Supporters can choose which school’s program to donate to, with an added incentive, whichever school raises the most money will receive an extra $1,000 toward its backpack program, split between Bryant Restoration and Unico Bank.
