Missouri State Parks to Temporarily Close for Managed Deer Hunts

Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - Several Missouri state parks will temporarily close to the public in November and December for managed deer hunts aimed at ensuring visitor safety and maintaining healthy deer populations.

According to Missouri State Parks, two area parks are included in the closures. St. Joe State Park will be closed November 15–16, and St. Francois State Park will close December 5–8. Each park will reopen to the public the day after its final closure date.

Managed hunts are conducted annually in coordination with the Missouri Department of Conservation to help balance wildlife populations and protect natural resources.
