Jefferson City, Mo. (KFMO) - Missouri is preparing to redraw its congressional district map, a move expected to favor Republicans in their push to gain more seats in the U.S. House of Representatives.
The change would directly impact Democratic Congressman Emanuel Cleaver’s district. Cleaver has acknowledged the legal challenges already filed against the proposed map, sharing his thoughts on the lawsuits.
Governor Mike Parson has indicated he will sign the redistricting plan into law.
