Missouri Child Protection Program Marks 20 Years at Desloge Labor Day Picnic

Desloge, Mo. (KFMO) - An annual tradition at the Desloge Labor Day Picnic is the Missouri Child Protection Program, which provides parents with an ID packet containing a child’s photo and important identifying information.

Rodney Klein says participating in the program is an important step for families.

Since its launch 20 years ago, the program has helped ID more than 250,000 children, with 10 known recoveries credited to the effort.

The Missouri Child Protection Program is offered free of charge to families who participate.
