Mineral Area College Named As One of the Best Colleges to Work For

Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - Mineral Area College has been named one of the nation's best colleges to work for, according to the Great Colleges to Work For Program.

The results, based on a survey of 199 colleges and universities, appeared in an insert of this month's Chronicle for Higher Education. MAC won honors in three categories-- Confidence in Senior Leadership, Job Satisfaction & Support, and Mission & Pride. President Dr. Joe Gilgour said in a statement, "While this recognition is something we truly appreciate, our real success is in building a community that values the needs and contributions of every individual. Our faculty and staff create a vibrant and supportive environment where everyone is respected and empowered to succeed.

This committment is what truly makes Mineral Area College a great place to work." Survey results were based on a two-part assessment-- an institution questionaire, and a survey administered to faculty, administrators, and support staff.

MAC is one of 22 two-year institutions recognized for 2025.
