Local Police Departments Conduct Active Shooter Training at North County Middle School

Desloge, Mo. (KFMO) - Officers from Desloge, Farmington, Park Hills, and Bonne Terre took part in active shooter training at North County Middle School on Thursday.

The joint training session focused on tactical response, strategic planning, and rapid decision-making in potential school shooting scenarios. It was led by Lieutenant Jason Fitzwater of the Mineral Area College Law Enforcement Academy.

Officials say the training helps ensure a coordinated and effective law enforcement response in the event of an emergency at a local school.
