St. Francois County, Mo. (KFMO) - A local law enforcement K-9 helped uncover drugs and firearms in two separate incidents last week.
On Friday, August 15, 2025, while assisting the Missouri State Highway Patrol, K-9 Onyx was deployed for a free air sniff. After indicating a positive alert for the presence of controlled substances, troopers discovered several items of suspected drugs and multiple firearms.
The following day, Saturday, August 16, K-9 Onyx was again deployed while assisting the Park Hills Police Department. The K-9 alerted to the presence of drugs, leading officers to locate a defaced firearm, a baggie of suspected methamphetamine, and numerous pieces of drug paraphernalia.
Charges are pending in both cases.
