House Springs Woman and Two Others Injured in Washington County Crash

Washington Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A House Springs woman and two passengers were injured Saturday evening in a single-vehicle crash in Washington County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened at 6:40 p.m. on westbound Dugout Road, north of Missouri 21. Troopers say a 2010 Jeep Wrangler, driven by a 42-year-old woman from House Springs, was traveling too fast for roadway conditions. The driver failed to negotiate a right turn, went off the left side of the road, struck several small trees, and overturned.

The driver suffered serious injuries and was flown to Mercy Hospital South. A juvenile passenger, a 3-year-old girl, sustained minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Washington County Memorial Hospital. A male passenger also suffered serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital South. The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene.

Troopers report that the male passenger was not wearing a seatbelt, while the driver and juvenile were restrained.
