Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - The Grand opening and ribbon cutting for the new St. Francois County Park, Owl Creek, is set for 11 a.m. today.
The park's Phase 1 Trail System currently features 1.25 miles of asphalt trails, over 3 miles of cleared wilderness trails, and Big River access. St. Francois County Associate Commissioner, David Kater, says phases 2 and 3 will bring several additional amenities including more access to Big River.
Kater adds additional parking, as well as a playground, are also planned for the park. The entrance to the park is located at 198 Landfill Road, Park Hills. Everyone is invited to attend today's event.
