Fredericktown, Mo. (KFMO) - A Fredericktown man, Kenneth Bartlett, is arrested and charged with Assault in the 1st Degree and Armed Criminal Action following a shooting incident Saturday morning in Madison County.
At approximately 8:30 a.m, the Madison County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to a shooting that had occurred near the Highway 72 East Castor River bridge. Upon arrival, deputies found a male with a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim informed deputies Bartlett was the suspect, and a search of the area began.
Bartlett was eventually found, arrested, and taken to the Madison County Jail. He's being held on a $500,000 cash-only bond. The victim was transported to Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
