Fire Destroys Home and Vehicles on E. Lakeshore Drive in Bismarck

Bismarck, Mo. (KFMO) - At 2:33 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, the Bismarck Fire Protection District was dispatched to a fully involved residential structure fire on E. Lakeshore Drive.

The initial report indicated the home was fully engulfed in flames, with multiple vehicles also involved. Response efforts were delayed due to bridge weight restrictions in the area, forcing fire crews to reroute and access the scene via Brown Mountain Road. A Bismarck firefighter was first to arrive on the scene, confirming the extent of the fire. The Pilot Knob Fire Protection District was the first department to arrive and began a defensive fire attack. Bismarck fire units arrived shortly afterward and joined the firefighting efforts. The fire was eventually brought under control without any injuries reported. However, the structure and multiple vehicles sustained significant damage.

The Missouri Division of Fire Safety has been contacted and is conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the fire. Mutual aid was provided by several neighboring agencies, including the Farmington Fire Department, Leadington Fire Department, Doe Run Fire Protection District, Leadwood Fire Protection District, St. Francois County Ambulance District, and St. Francois County 911.
