Festus Man Seriously Injured in Jefferson County Crash

Jefferson Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A Festus man suffered serious injuries in a single-vehicle crash Saturday evening in Jefferson County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 7:53 p.m. on July 19th on Route TT, north of Route T. Authorities say 25-year-old man from Festus was driving a 2007 Suzuki northbound when he attempted to slow down while rounding a curve. The driver lost control of the vehicle, which then veered off the left side of the road.

The driver, who was wearing a seatbelt, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital South by private vehicle. The Suzuki had moderate damage but was driven from the scene by a family member.
