Festus Man Killed in Interstate 55 Crash

Jefferson Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A Festus man is dead after a crash Saturday morning on Interstate 55 in Jefferson County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the wreck happened around 8:42 a.m. north of Route Z when a southbound 2016 Freightliner driven by 37-year-old man traveled off the west side of the roadway. Troopers say the man overcorrected, causing the truck to overturn and eject him from the vehicle.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
