Farmington Man Charged with Child Molestation Following August Investigation

Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - The St. Francois County Sheriff’s Department has arrested and charged a Farmington man following an investigation into alleged sexual abuse involving a juvenile.

Authorities say the incident was first reported on August 24, 2025. The juvenile victim provided a detailed account of the alleged abuse, including claims of inappropriate physical contact, and identified the suspect.

Deputies located and detained the accused, identified as Nathan S. Brooks, at his residence. He was arrested, transported, and booked into the St. Francois County Adult Detention Center.

The case was then transferred to the department’s Detective Bureau for further investigation. Following interviews and a review of the evidence, the St. Francois County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office filed formal charges on October 10, 2025. Brooks faces one count of Child Molestation in the 4th Degree, and bond was set at $100,000.

The investigation remains ongoing.
