Jefferson Co., Mo. (KFMO) - The National Weather Service has confirmed that an EF-1 tornado touched down just south of De Soto on Saturday evening, carving a path nearly five miles long.
According to NWS meteorologists, the tornado had an estimated maximum width of 300 yards and a total track length of 4.9 miles. There was some structrual damage to a few homes, as well as, some tree damage.
Despite the storm’s intensity, there were no reported fatalities or injuries.
