De Soto Man Seriously Injured in Motorcycle Crash on Highway 21

Jefferson Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A 20-year-old De Soto man is seriously injured following a motorcycle crash Tuesday afternoon in Washington County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened at 3:15 p.m. on Highway 21 near Swallow Road when a 2007 Yamaha FZ6 motorcycle, driven by the De Soto man, struck the rear of a 2013 Chevrolet 3500 pickup truck. Troopers say the impact ejected the motorcyclist from his bike. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The injured man was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital South for treatment of serious injuries. The driver of the pickup, a 26-year-old man from Potosi, was not injured.

Both vehicles were southbound at the time of the collision and were driven from the scene.
