Cadet Man Arrested in Connection to Stolen Vehicles in Potosi

Washington Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A Cadet man is behind bars after two vehicles were reported stolen from a residence in Potosi on June 6, 2025.

Officers with the Potosi Police Department responded to the 500 block of Cheryl Drive after receiving the report of the thefts. During the investigation, officers identified a suspect and began the process of locating the stolen vehicles. Both were successfully recovered within approximately 10 hours. Michael P. Cain was arrested and is facing multiple felony charges, including two counts of first-degree tampering with a motor vehicle, two counts of felony stealing, and one count of first-degree property damage.

Cain is currently being held without bond at the Washington County Jail.
