Black River Electric Cooperative to Hold 87th Annual Membership Meeting June 7

Fredericktown, Mo. (KFMO) - Black River Electric Cooperative (BREC) will host its 87th Annual Membership Meeting on Saturday, June 7, 2025, in the parking lot of Fredericktown Middle School. The event gives BREC members a convenient opportunity to participate in the co-op’s governance and receive updates on business operations.

Registration and voting in the Board of Directors Election will take place from members’ vehicles between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. In the event of inclement weather, registration may close earlier. A brief business meeting will begin at 11:00 a.m. or after the close of the polls.

As a thank you for participating, all registered members will receive a $10 credit on their electric bill. To qualify for the credit and to vote, the electric service must be in the name of the person registering at the meeting.

Members who register will also be automatically entered in prize drawings for larger bill credits and the $500 Grand Prize. The first 900 members to register will receive a free registration gift. Prize drawings will take place on Monday, June 9, 2025, with winners notified directly by BREC and posted online at www.brec.coop.

During the business meeting, cooperative officials will provide an overview of 2024 operations and announce more than $872,000 in capital credit refunds. Once again, the refunds will be applied directly to members’ June electric bills. Election results will also be announced during the meeting.

For questions about the meeting or membership information, visit www.brec.coop or call 1-800-392-4711.
