Bismarck Ordinance Aims to Cleaning Up Derelict Property

Bismarck, Mo. (KFMO) - Bismarck officials are working on an ordinance that would help clean up properties in the town that aren't being taken care of.

Mayor of Bismarck, Seth Radford, says they want to work with citizens to improve the town, yet sometimes they have to take the lead in maintaining property.

Radford explains if the property owner continues to not respond, the city will clean up the property and charge the owner an hourly rate. The cost would be attached to the property's tax bill.
