Belgrade Man Seriously Injured in Jefferson County Motorcycle Crash

Jefferson Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A Belgrade man was seriously injured in a crash involving a motorcycle and a minivan on Saturday afternoon in Jefferson County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 5 p.m. on July 19 along Graham Road, just east of Local Hillsboro Road. Authorities say a 2014 Dodge Caravan, driven by a 42-year-old woman from Hillsboro, was backing out of a private driveway when it entered the path of a westbound 2001 Harley Davidson motorcycle. The motorcycle, operated by 53-year-old man from Belgrade, struck the right side of the minivan. The rider, who was wearing a helmet, sustained serious injuries and was transported by the ambulance to Mercy Hospital South.

The minivan driver was not injured and was able to drive away from the scene. The motorcycle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.
