St. Francois County, Mo. (KFMO) - Organizers of the St. Francois County 4-H/Open Horse Show have postponed the event originally scheduled for Wednesday evening, citing a forecast of high temperatures and potential severe storms.
The show will now take place on Wednesday, August 6 at 6 p.m. at the St. Francois County Fairgrounds. Officials say the decision to delay the event was made with the safety of participants, animals, and attendees in mind. Weather conditions on Wednesday included high heat indeces and the threat of storms across the area.
The 4-H/Open Horse Show is a traditional part of the annual St. Francois County Fair.
